C&Y Engineering Joins Samsung Taylor’s Safety Inspection Team for a Company Picnic

At C&Y Engineering, we believe strong structures start with strong relationships. That’s why we were thrilled to spend a sunny afternoon with the Samsung Taylor Safety Inspection Team at a joint company outing and picnic earlier this month.

Held at a scenic park, the event brought together field engineers, inspectors, and office staff from both teams for a day of food, games, and connection. With a shared commitment to precision, safety, and collaboration in the field, the event offered a rare opportunity to step away from the jobsite and celebrate the people behind the work.

From casual conversations under shaded tents to friendly competition in tug-of-war and volleyball, the atmosphere was filled with laughter, team spirit, and mutual respect. A highlight of the day included a short recognition ceremony, where team leads acknowledged recent safety milestones and praised the smooth coordination between both companies on ongoing structural inspection projects at the Samsung Taylor semiconductor plant.

“These are the kinds of relationships that make challenging work feel rewarding,” said C&Y’s lead structural engineer, adding, “When we collaborate this well in the field, it's only natural we’d enjoy each other’s company outside of it too.”

The event wrapped up with a shared meal and a group photo, reminding us that great engineering isn’t just about calculations and codes—it’s about people who care deeply about doing things right, together.
