Structural Engineer


Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and professional Junior Structural Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and analyzing buildings and be proficient in structural engineering processes and standards. Our team of expert structural engineers designs, analyzes, plans, and inspects a variety of structural components in commercial buildings and large residential development sites.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and diagrams, and in creating detailed diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications.

  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of health and safety guidelines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good report writing abilities.

  • Strong manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize time and workload effectively.

  • Proficiency in softwares: SAP2000, ETABS, Mathcad, RISA


Responsibilities

  • Develop structural plans, designs, and detailed drawings for construction personnel, ensuring compliance with local building codes, including considerations for flooding, fire safety measures, wind tunnels, and surface quality.

  • Oversee the construction and creation of structures and frames, making necessary adjustments to ongoing projects to ensure safety and structural integrity.

  • Inspect and analyze existing buildings to determine their safety and viability for restoration, and make recommendations for renovation, closure, or demolition as necessary.

  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of specialized structural details such as beam bracing, outriggers, and geotechnical compliance, integrating foundation beams, concrete column encasements, and structural steel reinforced concrete interfaces.

  • Plan and oversee the layout of construction joints, control joints, raised and depressed slabs, and roof and foundation elevations, including floor and footing elevations, and elevator machine room slab and pit elevations.

  • Ensure all work aligns with health and safety guidelines, and contribute to the creation of technical specifications and structural calculations to support project requirements.
